I was the art lead for my capstone group project called Ever Onward. I was in charge delegating tasks to other artists who best suited the job. I also created all the character art for Ever Onward, some User Interface, and other miscellaneous tasks. The characters are inspired by cultural symbols of various eastern cultures, as well as the actual attire of the peoples. All art had to fit into a stylistic realism artstyle, wherein all items and objects would have relatively realistic textures, but the topology and resolution would be as low as possible without sacrificing visual detail. As such, all characters and props are low poly, and textures do not exceed 1k resolution. To capture the high detail on such low poly objects, sculpting and baking detail down was required on all items. All meshes were designed with animation in mind, featuring animation loops around the joints. To save time, all animations seen in the trailer are from Mixamo.
