Drepanopteryx Barlowi, The Scythewing

A concept for a wyvern that has grown comfortable on the ground, so much so that its begun loosing the ability to fly. Instead though, its strong forelimbs have not become useless, but rather devastating hunting tools designed to latch on and cut deeply into prey items. They call rocky cliff faces home where they have no issue climbing up the sheer cliffs, and can easily take off and glide from the high perches. The young are flighted, being light enough before they grow into their muscular adult forms.

Design is heavily inspired by the Daggerwrist of Wayne Barlowe's Expedition, with accents of Death Gripper from How to Train your Dragon.
